Last week, Cedar Court Hotels, the largest independent hotel collection in Yorkshire, held their fourth annual staff awards. With around 200 attendees, staff came together to praise outstanding service throughout the last year.
Shield Safety was kindly invited to attend the prestigious ceremony as a sponsor of the ‘Best Sales Person of the Year’ award.
The awards coincided with the hotel group’s 30th anniversary, so the double celebration was made even more enjoyable with a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed night.
Shield Safety was represented by Ryan Noakes, a key member of our Diary Team, who was greeted on arrival by none other than Willy Wonka himself. This was just the beginning of the fantasy event, with staff dressed as Umpa lumpas and Veruca Salt, the room bursting with lollipops and treats and a Willy Wonka themed meal.
Ryan and Cedar Court Hotel’s Sales Manager, Tracy Ratcliffe awarded Sales Person of the Year to Jane Swithenbank from the Wakefield branch.
Witnessing hard work celebrated within the hospitality industry is great to see, with awards ranging from Waiter/Waitress of the Year, Hotel of the Year and Chef of the Year.
Congratulations to the organisers for such a successful event, especially Allison Papaiacovou, who Ryan particularly enjoyed chatting with. “A good working relationship is key and representing the organisation was both a privilege and pleasure” says Ryan.
“Having the opportunity to meet clients and share business stories was a real eye opener, and speaking to one of our clients enabled me to see beyond my desk!”
All in all, a well organised and enjoyable night for all in attendance, and a pleasure for Shield Safety Group to be a part of.
