Tesco partners with Shield Safety Group

Shield Safety Group is extremely excited to announce a new working partnership with Tesco. We have partnered with the multi-site retailer giant to conduct store audits across their 3000 site-strong estate, securing the UK’s largest audit contract. Food Safety, Health & Safety & Regulatory audits will be conducted by our team of Environmental Health Practitioners – the largest in the country – across all Tesco and One Stop stores.

Tesco serve 66 shoppers every second with the core purpose of ‘Serving Britain’s shoppers a little better every day’. Better service comes hand-in-hand with better safety, which, as The Grocer Gold Awards 2017 Technology Supplier of the Year, we feel perfectly placed to support Tesco with. Together, we will develop an industry leading store audit programme that will support insight in store practices and behaviours and drive legal compliance.

All Tesco audits will be delivered through our award-winning compliance and risk management SaaS system, Compliance Centre, giving Tesco visibility of their audit rounds and safety performance.

This contract marks a company milestone for Shield Safety Group, who have already experienced rapid growth of 50%+ year-on-year in recent years. On the partnership, Shield Safety CEO and Founder Mark Flanagan said:
