eLearning – Manual Handling

The eLearning course on Manual Handling defines what manual handling operations are and outlines the human and financial consequences of poor manual handling. It details factors that promote safe manual handling, inappropriate activities that can cause injuries and how to plan and use safe manual handling techniques, when working alone or as part of a team. The course is ideal for any employee involved in lifting or moving objects, with a focus on adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act and Manual Handling regulations. By following the advice and good practices explained, learners will be able to avoid injuries and ensure a safer workplace. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
