The eLearning course on Leading Great Shifts is designed to equip hospitality shift leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary for running effective shifts. Through this course, learners will understand the significance of effective shift leadership and its impact on guest satisfaction, team cohesion and overall shift success, including revenue generation. Learners will explore the shift leadership model, which includes preparing for the shift, engaging the team and communicating effectively. They will also establish robust communication practices before, during and after shifts, define key criteria for shift success and select appropriate measures to evaluate shift performance. This course is suitable for all team members, particularly those who lead shifts or aspire to take on leadership roles. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
