eLearning – Emergency First Aid Awareness

The eLearning course on Emergency First Aid Awareness outlines the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations, providing basic guidance and knowledge for first aid in emergency situations. Learners will gain skills to assess casualties using the DRABCD approach, utilise correct resuscitation techniques and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The course also covers identifying and treating choking, wounds, burns, broken bones, sprains and recognising stroke symptoms using the FAST method. Aimed at those responsible for emergency first aid in their workplace, this training is essential for understanding first aid arrangements for various injuries and significantly reducing assessment times when accidents occur, allowing prompt treatment. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
