eLearning – Disability Awareness

The eLearning course on Disability Awareness is designed to inform and educate employees about disability equality in the workplace. It covers the legal background and requirements for supporting disabled customers and employees. Learners will gain confidence in monitoring, reviewing and action planning, and will be able to state the legislation controlling disability discrimination. Additionally, learners will learn to identify and explain the four types of discrimination, and define and give examples of Ôreasonable adjustmentsÕ for employers and service providers. By the end of the course, learners will be able to define disability, understand the principles of disability awareness and describe how to implement effective policies. This course is essential for all employees and will help to foster a more inclusive and supportive workplace. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
