eLearning – Cellar Management

The eLearning course on Cellar Management, developed in collaboration with Cask Marque, provides comprehensive knowledge on beer storage, focusing on cask ale and keg beers. Participants will learn to differentiate between cask and keg, understand hygiene regulations and best practices, manage stock control and maximise yields while reducing wastage. The course also covers gas systems, line cleaning, beer ingredients and production processes. It outlines procedures for maintaining high environmental standards in the cellar, including cleanliness and correct temperature. Additionally, participants will learn to handle deliveries and safely store stock, condition a cask, connect beer for sale and address health and safety issues surrounding gas dispense systems. This course is ideal for publicans, cellar workers and staff involved in beer storage and dispensing. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
