Fire Risk Assessment

The fire risk assessment (FRA) is announced and conducted against the Fire Risk Assessment Standard developed from PAS 79 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. This is a Type 1 non-destructive FRA so is intended for commercial premises and focuses on communal areas (not living accommodation). The assessment will not check all individual dwellings within a building, such as flats or apartments. As it is non-destructive it does not involve opening walls, floors or ceilings to inspect hidden voids, checking inside ducts or risers or testing compartmentation. The report and action plan are accessible via the RiskProof Fire module. Ensuring the safety of your premises is paramount, and Shield Safety offers a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment service that will not only safeguard your property but also enhance your compliance and operational efficiency. Your FRA will be meticulously conducted in adherence to the PAS 79: 2012 specification, a nationally recognised standard. This rigorous methodology ensures that all potential risks are evaluated systematically, providing you with a thorough understanding of your fire safety status. Employing former Fire Service professionals as qualified Fire Risk Assessors, we bring unparalleled expertise and practical experience to every assessment. One of the standout features of our service is the integration with RiskProof, our state-of-the-art digital platform. The Fire Risk Assessment is electronically uploaded to RiskProof, creating a centralised location where multiple users can access and track progress based on their permissions. This transparency and accessibility foster a collaborative environment where non-conformances can be updated in real-time, demonstrating proactive steps towards achieving a compliant and safe business operation for your employees and customers while also ensuring that your business meets all fire safety regulations with ease and confidence.
