eLearning – Scottish Cert for Personal Licence Holders (SCPLH)
The eLearning course on Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (SCPLH) is meticulously designed to meet the training requirements of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. This comprehensive course equips you with the knowledge necessary to manage licensed premises responsibly, understand the effects of alcohol consumption on customers and businesses, and uphold the five licensing objectives in Scotland: preventing crime and disorder; securing public safety; preventing public nuisance; protecting and improving public health; and protecting children and young persons from harm. The course content covers a range of key areas including responsible operation of licensed premises, social responsibility concerning illegal drugs and alcohol, and the importance of community links. Ideal for those aiming to become Designated Premises Managers or Designated Premises Supervisors, successful candidates will receive a SCQF Level 6 qualification and provides a pathway to obtaining a personal licence in Scotland. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
