Who needs this qualification?

The objective of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace and is for learners who work in
environments where legionella growth is a risk. It aims to raise awareness in order to prevent waterborne diseases caused by legionella bacteria.

Why is this training important?

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of the health effects of Legionnaires’ disease, the control measures that should be in place to prevent it as well as the consequences for not complying with relevant legislation and codes of practice

Assessment type

This qualification is assessed by the learner workbook. This assessment model requires learners to provide a short response to prescribed questions within a workbook set by Highfield. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the breadth of the qualification syllabus.
