SS Fire Marshal course

The Fire Marshal course is designed for employees responsible for workplace fire safety. This comprehensive training covers the chemistry and classification of fire, methods of fire spread, and the use of different extinguishers. Participants will learn to identify fire hazards, understand human behaviour in fire situations and locate means of escape. Where possible and suitable facilities are available, the training can include a practical demonstration of extinguisher use. For safety reasons, the practical demonstration does not include lighting and putting out a fire. Where a practical demonstration is not possible, a theory session is carried out instead. By completing this course, attendees will understand the process of a fire risk assessment and be equipped to perform fire safety inspections in order to effectively fulfil their role as fire marshals, ensuring workplace safety and compliance. The course must be delivered, to a maximum of 12 candidates, in a classroom where a practical demonstration is able to be conducted. This is due to a practical assessment where candidates are assessed to ensure their understanding.
