Am I legally required to have a Café Compliance Pack?

As a food serving business, you are required by the law to have a Food Safety Management System in place. If you employ more than 5 people, you are also required to have a written Health & Safety Management System. The other components of the pack are not legally required; however, they do act as due diligence evidence that you are following your policies, provide a support network from experienced EHPs and ensure you’re following best practice and maintaining legal compliance.

Will I be deemed compliant through purchasing a Café Compliance Pack?

Your Café Compliance Pack provides you with everything to ensure you are compliant. Within your pack are the tools you need to bring your operating procedures in line with not only the law but also industry best practice. Solely having the pack is not enough, though. It is your responsibility to ensure you read the policies thoroughly, implement them and show you continue to follow them by recording evidence in the Compliance Diaries, in addition to following our ongoing advice.

I use Safer Food, Better Business – am I covered already?

Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) is a great resource and certainly helps businesses with their Food Safety due diligence. Your Café Compliance Pack goes further than this to offer more well-rounded protection. It also includes a Health & Safety provision that is not covered in SFBB. You’ll receive the most up-to-date policies, regular on-site reviews from our team of EHPs and a support network from the Safety Advice Line. We can even provide you with an on-site ‘health check’ to assess the current compliance in your café and highlight areas of improvement or review your current policies.
