HABC Level 3 Award in Legionella Control for Responsible Person course

The Level 3 Award in Legionella Control for Responsible Persons is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and understanding of the risks posed by legionella bacteria and Legionnaires’ disease. Candidates will learn about the factors that influence bacterial multiplication, the conditions required and methods of transmission and infection. The course covers symptoms and impacts of Legionnaires’ disease, relevant legislation and compliance requirements. It also highlights the importance of a written scheme, record-keeping and routine reviews. This qualification is essential for anyone currently in or aspiring to be in the role of a Responsible Person, ensuring they can effectively manage and control legionella risks on-site. The course can be delivered to a maximum of 12 candidates, remotely or in a classroom and candidates are assessed to ensure their understanding.
