Proper storage, cooking and cooling procedures for various food products are explained to prevent food contamination. Learners will also explore methods to avoid cross-contamination, emphasising strict personal hygiene standards required in food production. Effective cleaning and disinfection procedures are taught, alongside recognising signs of pest infestation and implementing necessary control measures. By the end of this course, participants will be well-equipped to maintain high standards of food safety, ensuring the safe production of food items for consumers. Learners are assessed at the end of the course and must achieve a minimum pass mark. Individual licences must be used within a 12 month period.
