If you’re a regular user of the Compliance Centre, you will have spotted the most recent upgrade to the dashboard; the Fire App. The App was developed as an easy to access, central location dedicated to manage, track and store all of your Shieldyourself Fire Risk Assessments.
Since its launch, the Fire App has allowed you to easily access your published FRAs from the main menu and is automatically a part of your existing Dashboard. You can ‘Track’ closed and open non-conformances and you’ll find clear non-conformance outlined in your assessments creating an action plan.
A recent update has now also given you the functionality to download your Fire Risk Assessment report as a PDF should anyone else need to see it, or you need to share the file with anyone. Thanks to these upgrades, there is no longer a need to retain Fire Risk Assessments on the Registry App. What makes the Fire App so unique is that anybody who is able to view a location on the Compliance Centre can see the Fire Risk Assessment report, the progress that is being made on the Action Plan and who is updating the information.
When you have a specific online domain just for Fire Risk Assessments why duplicate the process? Keep the Registry App as an online filing cabinet for all of your other statutory documentation.
Should you wish to continue to have your Fire Risk Assessments stored on the Registry App, you can still do so following the same process you use for all other certificates.
If you need a refresher on how to upload onto the Registry App, please watch the video in the Help section. Otherwise, simply follow these steps.
1. Download the FRA report using ‘Download PDF’ and save
2. Access the Registry App for the relevant site
3. Click the Actions button for Fire Risk Assessment and choose ‘Update’
4. Choose the date the FRA took place and upload the saved FRA PDF
