CIEH Update – Partners in Professionalism

Spring not only marks lambing season and longer (sometimes sunnier) days, but also the introduction of CIEH’s brand new ways of working and work-based learning programmes.

CIEH has been on the front line in environmental health for over 130 years, with a vast history in helping businesses with safe operation, to improve public health and safety.

Over the last few months, they have taken their clients, partners and wider trainer network into consideration to ensure the most apt products and services are provided.

Born from a desire for greater flexibility, CIEH have launched ‘Partners in Professionalism’ with new work-based learning products for Food Safety and Occupational Health & Safety.

As part of a wider campaign, to introduce new ways of working between the profession and the public, CIEH see themselves as your…

  • Partners in Performance to go above and beyond in ensuring the learner has access to the best and most up-to-date information
  • Partners in People Development to deliver learning at the sought after pace and scale
  • Partners in Public Health and Safety to make a positive impact on the lives of practitioners, businesses and consumers

To clear up some confusion following their initial announcement in November, CIEH are still accredited, however are no longer regulated by Ofqal. This enables the trainer to tailor their design, delivery, assessment and marking to be in line with an individual’s needs and existing knowledge, allowing more adaptable and dynamic learning.

This will ensure content to be more up-to-date and relevant, quicker assessments and improved support and guidance to aid you in planning and tailoring learning programmes.

On the 11th May, CIEH will roll out their 6 new products with accredited assessment and certification, covering 3 levels for colleagues and supervisors at varying stages of development (introductory, foundation and intermediate). Shield Safety are pleased to announce that we will be offering all six courses on offer from CIEH:

  • Introduction to Food Safety
  • Foundation Food Safety
  • Intermediate Food Safety
  • Introductory Occupational Health & Safety
  • Foundation Occupational Health & Safety
  • Intermediate Occupational Health & Safety

As well as the agile, location-relevant new courses, they are excellent value for money and written by a team of experts. This will enable you to improve your workforce by keeping people safe.
